It launches pop-up windows with falsified alerts about viruses, rootkits, spyware and other malicious software. After installation on a system, an attempt is made to force users to pay for removal of nonexistent viruses. Mac Protector may also slow your computer and prevent you from visiting. This fake antivirus actually does the opposite: periodically open instances of the web browser and point them adult/viagra websites. Do not purchase this pesky anti-virus program.
