Cheap OEM software scam

What is OEM software? It's original equipment manufacturer (OEM) software. Great, but why would I care?, you may ask. The answers is simple. Because you may get a spam message in your mailbox about cheap OEM software. Spammers' definition of OEM software is different. They say that you can legally buy 100% fully working retail version of any software available today and that you don't have to pay that much for the fancy box and manuals. That's why it's so cheap. That would be great if it were true. Unfortunately, OEM software can not be resold. Here's an example of the fake online OEM software store: allsoftwaredirect.com. Let's take a look. It looks like they resell nearly all popular software available today. Adobe Photoshop CS2 V 9.0 cough my eye. Let's say I want to buy it. Guess what? I'm lucky because it costs only $69.95 and I will save $529.05. Don't fall victim to this scam. The bad guys use four different web templates, green, blue, yellow and grey (see images below). The main purpose of these misleading websites is to trick people into thinking that Antivirus IS is a legitimate anti-virus program. All these websites provide false information and after all may give a false sense of security for a user that may not realize that Antivirus IS is a scam. You may find information about Antivirus IS Basic, Antivirus IS Pro and Antivirus IS Ultimate on these websites as well and even purchase any of them. However, you shouldn't purchase it. Avscanner.net is a browser hijacker that promotes the rogue anti-malware program called Malware Destructor 2011. Of course, it may promote any other rogue program as well but currently it prompts to download Malware Destructor 2011. Well, you probably won't end up with this knowingly. Usually, users are redirected to avscanner.net from infected websites or by other means. Avscanner.net will state that Windows Security has found critical process activity on your system and will perform fast scan of system files.



 In reality, thought, there will be no system scan. It's an imitation of the real scan. After the fake scan avscanner.net will claim to find Trojans:

The similarity between the fake website ant the legitimate Microsoft Security Essential website is obvious and we have to admit that the bad guys did a good job because Win7av.com looks very genuine. It's almost the exact copy of the legitimate Microsoft Security Essential website. The bad guys copied the awards received by Microsoft and they claim that Win7 AV is the best anti-virus solution on the market. To be clear, the rogue program and its main web page Win7av.com has nothing to do with Microsoft. If you are looking for free anti-virus software then you should visit the official Microsoft Security Essentials website. It's free, absolutely genuine and it does protect your computer from malware. Whereas Win7 AV is a scam. It's costs $59.95 USD and you can't even download a trial version. The rogue program claims that it has certifications from Icsa Labs and Virus Bulletin but that's obvious not true. Antivirmars.com is a rogue website which may compromise your computer security. It doesn't host malware, but it provides false information about program called Security Suite. Antivirmars.com has some false testimonials and states that SecuritySuite is a legitimate anti-virus program. In reality, though, Security Suite is a rogue security product that displays fake security warnings and deliberately reports system security threats. There's also a purchase page where you can buy Security Suite and you may even choose from three different versions: basic, pro and platinum. I really doubt that you could knowingly end up with Antivirmars.com. Usually, Security Suite malware or Trojans redirect users to Antivirmars.com and blocks other websites. If you are reading this post then your computer is probably infected too. Antivirdial.com is yet another Security Suite's landing page. As you probably already know, Security Suite is a fake anti-virus program that pretends to scan your computer for malware. This is a very common tactic used by nearly all rogue anti-virus or anti-spyware programs. Antivirdial.com is not the first website that promotes this rogue program. It’s also related to Security Suite malware. As you can see they simply switched two words "antivir" and "strong" and ended up with a new domain name for their bogus website. How convenient. Both websites look the same, they use the same web template and basically tell you to buy Security Suite Basic, Security Suite Pro or Security Suite Platinum version of the rogue program. Normally, you wouldn't visit such websites, but if your computer is already infected with Security Suite then of course you will be redirected to Strongantivir.com or other misleading websites to purchase the rogue program without any questions or your permission.

The good news is that you can actually remove Security Suite malware from your PC and block Strongantivir.com for free. Please follow Security Suite removal guide. Most of the time, users choose Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to remove the rogue program. But you can also use SUPERAntispyware, Spybot S&D or Spyware Doctor too. If you find that your computer is infected with Antivir Solution Pro malware ir you are beinf redirected to av-fox.com, av-fox.net, antivirfox.com or antivirfox.net then please follow Antivir Solution Pro removal instructions. Antispymv.com is a rogue website related to Antivir Solution Pro scareware. There's also another one — antispymv.net. Both websites promote the rogue anti-virus program. It goes without saying that you shouldn't buy it. Firstly, it's not a legitimate program. Secondly, your credit card can be charged twice or sold to cyber criminals.
